Internship Overview
Answer God’s Call to serve, and discover His Heart in Costa Rica.
Leadership
Interns serve alongside our Hope Partners Costa Rica staff. They work together to lead week-long missions teams to bring justice and hope to vulnerable children. They have a heart for the world, and desire to learn and work in a global ministry setting. By learning from the team around them, interns are empowered to exercise their servant leadership, actively living out the gospel and engaging those they lead to do the same.
Community
With a heart for Jesus and His people, a desire to develop a greater world view, and passion to serve, our interns get to experience life in another country. Together with other 18-23 year olds, this experience revolves around the community and friendships built with those they are doing life with, whether working together or living together. Learning what it means to have a true kingdom community is a key component.
Confronting Inequality and Vulnerability
Serving families living in vulnerable environments is at the core of what we do. We believe that people are not defined by the circumstances they live in and that God has a good plan for His children. They just need someone to be there for them that provide pathways to a better future. And that is what interns get to do with us.
Discipleship
Discipleship lies at the core of this summer experience. We know God is writing a great, big story that we may get to be a small part of. But, through intentional discipleship we can steward the time, resources, and opportunities given to us to further the kingdom in this life-long walk with Jesus.
