Weekend of Miracles at Northwoods

In a world plagued by extreme poverty and sex trafficking, Hope Partners International, under the leadership of Kirk Nowery, President of our organization, he stands as a beacon of HOPE. With 10 Hope Centers spanning six countries on five continents, our mission is to rescue children from the clutches of despair and transform their lives through acts of compassion in Jesus’ name.

During his visit to Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, Illinois, Kirk expressed his overwhelming gratitude for the invitation extended by Jonathan Rychener, the senior pastor, who Kirk has known since childhood. He commended Jonathan’s earnestness and the anointing in his message. Kirk’s heart swelled with pride for Northwoods Community Church, which had achieved a historic milestone in its first-quarter performance. Unfortunately, this success story was overshadowed by the disheartening fact that more churches closed than opened last year.

But last weekend, a remarkable story unfolded at Northwoods. Reminiscent of the legendary missionaries George and Mary Mueller, who founded schools and orphanages while serving as a missionary in Bristol, England, in the early 1800s and relied on God’s provision in every way. Kirk shared this inspiring story with the congregation, setting the stage for a weekend full of miracles beyond anything we could have imagined.

In a time of great need, Northwoods Community Church stepped up to the challenge, generously meeting the needs presented by Kirk, including purchasing a van and providing support for 450 Ukrainian women and children. The outpouring of love and support didn’t stop there, as close to 80 children were fully sponsored in Romania and India during this extraordinary weekend event.
