Help Us Transform Lives After Devastating Flood

The rains came down hard and fast late Wednesday night, March 22, 2023 and on Thursday morning we could not believe our eyes. The storm left a path of destruction in its wake. For many, the flooding was a reminder of just how vulnerable we all are to the forces of nature. Normally in a drought-ridden area, we would be grateful for the rain, and we were, until the water just had no place else to go.

For the 272 children in our Hope Center in Kawangware, Kenya, the flooding was a devastating blow. Just a couple of months ago, we renovated the entire campus while the children were on winter break. Our center was flooded beyond what we could have imagined, leaving us with a huge clean-up and repair job.

At Hope Partners International, we are committed to rescuing children from extreme poverty and transforming their lives through food, education and the love of Jesus. Our work is more important now than ever, and we need your help to get our Hope Center back on its feet. We are urgently seeking donations to help us repair the damage caused by the flooding. Any amount, large or small, will make a difference and will be put to good use.

We now need to replace/repair the following items:

  • Textbooks
  • Stationary
  • Electricals
  • Some Kindergarten play toys
  • Kindergarten carpets
  • Pupils exercise books
  • Teaching aids that were on the floor
